The Light Does Not Run From Shame
The screen is bright in the dark, and your thumb hovers over words you cannot take back. You feel exposed, as if honesty has torn the curtain and now they will see the mess underneath.
But the light does not run from what is revealed. Jesus stood before a woman caught in the act, while the crowd held stones ready to throw, and he did not look away from her shame.
He bent down. He waited for the accusers to leave.
And when it was just her and the light, he said: neither do I condemn you. The truth you just sent did not push the light away — it invited it in.
The one who knows everything about you is not reaching for a stone. He is reaching for your hand.
The darkness you fear is already gone.
