The Light That Waits With You
The screen is bright, but the room feels heavy. You are watching those three dots pulse like a heartbeat that never quite starts.
It is the specific ache of the middle of the day — waiting for a word that might not come. The silence on the other end feels like a verdict.
But the light does not depend on a message arriving to know you are loved. Jesus stood at a well once, tired and thirsty, waiting for someone to simply look up.
He did not leave when the conversation was hard. He stayed.
The light is already inside you — not in the reply you are waiting for, but in the courage it takes to keep holding the phone. You are not defined by who answers you.
You are defined by the light that refuses to leave your hand.
