The Light That Knocks Without Applause

The screen goes dark again. You watched the numbers for an hour, held your breath, and when they didn't rise, you deleted the proof that you tried.

Now the room is quiet, and the gathering dark feels like it's pressing in on the silence you made. But notice what the light does when the applause stops.

It does not leave. It stands at the door of your quiet room and knocks, not asking for a performance, just asking to come in and eat with you.

You are not a statistic to be managed or a image to be curated. You are a drop from the light, sent here to illuminate the very corners you are trying to hide because they feel ordinary.

The world says if it isn't seen, it didn't happen. The light says the most real things are the ones done in secret, where no one is counting.

Delete the photo if you must. But do not delete the part of you that wanted to be seen.

That hunger is not vanity. It is the memory of the One who sees you perfectly, even in the dim.
