The Light You Cannot Hide
The screen glows against your chest, a small rectangle of confession you typed and deleted before the cursor could blink twice. You lock the phone and turn it face-down, as if hiding the light will hide the truth from the One who sees in the dark.
But the light was already there before you typed a word, before the shame arrived to edit your story. What you tried to bury in the notes app is already known, and it is already held.
The verdict your heart screams in this silence is not the final one; there is a knowing deeper than your own self-accusation that does not agree with your guilt. You are not defined by the words you cannot send, nor by the darkness you think you are hiding.
The glow on your chest is not a betrayal; it is a sign that you are still awake, and the light is still with you.
