The Light Does Not Need An Echo
The room is quiet now. You said the thing you needed to say, and the silence that followed feels heavier than the words ever were.
No one answered. No one moved.
It is easy to believe in this gathering dark that your voice vanished into nowhere. But the light does not depend on an echo to prove it exists.
There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off. He ran.
Before the apology, before the speech — he ran. Your worth was never determined by who hears you.
It was determined by who made you. The silence is not a rejection.
It is simply the space where the light waits for you to stop looking for permission. You are not unheard just because the room is still.
