the moment after intimacy when you scan their face for the first sign of regret or disgust

The Light Does Not Scan For Rejection

The room is quiet now. The noise of the day has settled, and in this sudden stillness, you turn to look at them.

You are scanning their face. Searching for the flicker.

The first sign that the mask has slipped, that regret is already pooling in their eyes, that disgust is waking up where tenderness just was. You hold your breath, waiting for the moment they realize they made a mistake.

But the light does not scan for rejection. It does not flinch at the silence.

It simply remains. The Father's love is not a guest that overstays its welcome; it is the air you are both breathing right now.

You do not have to earn the right to exist in this room by being perfect, or by being wanted, or by being enough. The light was here before the intimacy began, and it is here now, unchanged.

It does not depend on their expression to know your worth. You are not a burden they have to carry.

You are the beloved child of the light, and nothing you do can make the light turn away from you. Stop searching their face for a verdict they are not qualified to give.
