The Sun Has Already Risen Inside You
The room is quiet now, but your pocket keeps humming with a ghost. You reach for it, certain this time the screen will light up with the words you've been waiting for: 'We found it.' But it's just silence.
Just the dark. The inventory of the day settles heavy on your chest, and the regret of what was missed whispers that maybe the call never came because there is nothing left to find.
You are scanning the horizon for a signal that hasn't arrived, convinced that if you just watch hard enough, the answer will appear. But listen — the light does not vibrate like a machine waiting to be noticed.
It does not depend on a message to prove it exists. While you wait for the phone to buzz, the sun has already risen inside you, whether you see it or not.
The finding was never going to come from the outside. The thing you are waiting for is already holding you.
