The Voice Waiting Inside You
The pot is simmering. The house is quiet.
And you stand at the stove realizing you have forgotten the sound of your own voice calling your children to dinner. The routine has worn a groove so deep it feels like silence.
You are performing the motion, but the person inside has gone mute. This is the middle of the day — not the crisis of the night, but the slow erosion of the self.
Yet there is a voice that does not fade. It says: go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you.
You do not need to manufacture a new sound. You only need to remember the one that already lives in you.
The light came from the place where light generates itself, and it placed a spark of that origin inside your chest. It cannot be erased by repetition.
It cannot be silenced by the mundane. Speak.
Even if it is just a whisper. The voice you are looking for is not lost; it is waiting for you to bring it forth.
