The Light Beneath Your Heavy Mask
The phone rings, and you force your voice to sound normal so they don't ask what's wrong. You carry the weight of that performance through the long middle of the day, pretending the ground beneath you isn't shaking.
But the light does not need your voice to be steady to be present with you. It saw the tremor before you ever spoke a word.
There is a part of you that knows the truth — the part that did not agree to the lie. Bring forth what is within you, even if only in a whisper, even if only to yourself.
What you bring forth will save you. The mask is heavy, but the light underneath is heavier still.
