You Are the Held, Not Just the Helper
The phone rings again. You answer with the steady voice everyone relies on, the one that knows exactly what to say when the world is falling apart.
You hold space for their storms, you absorb their fear, you become the anchor while your own heart drifts untethered in the middle of the day. But when the line goes quiet, the silence in your own room feels heavy — like a weight no one else sees.
You are the strong one, the listener, the fixer. And being needed can feel so much like being alone.
The light knows the difference between being used and being seen. It sees the part of you that is tired of holding everyone else up.
You do not have to earn love by carrying the world. The light is not asking you to be useful right now — it is asking you to be.
It is already kneeling beside the part of you that has no words left. You are not just the helper.
You are the held.
