The Door Is Ahead Not Behind
The notifications glow in the dark, a list of names praying for your return to a place you can no longer live. They ask for your restoration to the shadows you finally walked out of.
It feels like a weight, this love that wants you to go back to sleep. But listen — the light does not need you to return to the cage to be safe.
There is a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off. He ran.
Before the apology, before the speech — he ran. He did not ask the son to go back to the pigs.
He called him forward into the feast. Your leaving was not a failure.
It was an arrival. The prayers that ask you to return to the old ways are praying against the very light that found you.
You are not lost because you left. You are found because you stayed away.
The door is not behind you. It is ahead.
