Freedom Came Before The Proof
The night is quiet enough now for the old fear to crawl back in. It whispers that your change is a costume, that the moment you relax your guard, you will slip right back into the dirt.
That this repentance was just a lie you told yourself to get through the dark. But listen — there was a woman caught in the act, surrounded by stones and accusers, with nowhere to run and no way to undo what she had done.
The light did not ask her for a ten-year plan. It did not demand a guarantee of future perfection.
It simply said: neither do I condemn you. Go.
The freedom came before the proof. Your safety tonight does not rest on your ability to stay perfect.
It rests on the One who sees your trembling and calls you free anyway. You are not holding onto the light; the light is holding onto you.
