The Light Sees Your Terror Not Strategy
The morning light is unforgiving. It reveals the cracks in the mask you spent the night constructing.
You are terrified that your softness is not real—that your vulnerability is just a strategy, a calculated move to lower someone's guard so you can strike again when they aren't looking. You watch yourself perform kindness and wonder if you are simply a predator learning to mimic the prey.
But listen. The light does not scan your history for patterns of manipulation.
It sees the terror behind the calculation. The very fact that you are afraid of your own capacity to harm is the proof that you are not lost.
A heart that is truly hard does not tremble at the thought of breaking another. The light is not fooled by the performance, but it is not repelled by the fear underneath it.
You are not your strategy. You are the one who is waking up to the horror of it.
And in that waking, the cycle breaks.
