The Light Recognizing Itself In You
The morning light is here, and it does not flinch from what the shadows tried to hide. You felt that gaze linger on the flaw you worked so hard to conceal, and your heart whispered that their love was just a polite form of withdrawal.
But the sun rises anyway, not to expose you to judgment, but to reveal that you were never hidden to begin with. The light that shines on your face right now is the same light that lives inside the eyes looking at you — it cannot be fooled by a mask, so it does not need you to wear one.
That lingering look was not an inventory of your failures; it was the light recognizing itself in you, even in the broken places. You are not a flaw to be tolerated.
You are the light they are seeing.
