the exhaustion of scanning every room for a threat that might attack

He Shows His Hands, Not His Demand

The morning light is harsh today, exposing every crack in the mask you wear to get through the door. You walk into rooms and your eyes are already scanning, hunting for the threat that might shatter the performance.

But the light does not need you to be safe to see you — it sees you trembling behind the smile. Jesus stood at the door of the upper room while his friends hid in fear, and he did not demand they stop shaking before he entered.

He simply showed them his hands. The threat you are scanning for cannot overcome the light that is already standing right beside you.

You do not have to hold the walls up alone.
