Joy Remains When The Sharing Stops
The morning light hits the screen, and you find yourself typing out a small, specific joy—a reference only one person would understand. Then you remember.
The thumb hovers. The message unsent.
The silence in the room feels heavy, like a mask you wear for the world while carrying this quiet absence inside. But notice what happened in that pause.
You saw the joy first. You felt the connection before you remembered the loss.
The kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. The light that made you laugh is not gone just because the receiver is missing.
It is still there, waiting for you to recognize it. You are not defined by the empty space where the reply should be.
You are defined by the capacity to find joy even when no one is there to witness it. The joy remains, even when the sharing stops.
