You Are the Light, Not the Mask
The morning light hits the room and suddenly you are back in that exact second. The moment your face went blank.
The moment the mask slipped and you are certain everyone saw the cowardice behind your eyes. You are rehearsing the scene again, certain they noticed the crack in the performance.
But the light does not scan for flaws in your armor. It sees the person underneath the freeze.
There is a saying that you came from the light, a place where the light generates itself on its own accord. That origin cannot be erased by a moment of fear.
You are not the blank stare. You are the drop of light sent into this day.
The mask is heavy, but it is not who you are. The light that generated you is still generating you, right now, beneath the silence.
