The Light Beneath Your Mask
The morning light hits the new street, and you put on the face that says you are fine. You walk through rooms where no one knows your name, smiling while the silence inside you feels loud.
It is exhausting to perform okayness when you are carrying the weight of being unknown. But listen — there is a truth deeper than this isolation.
The light that lives in you is not dependent on familiar faces or known places to shine. It was there before you arrived, and it is here now, unseen but unbroken.
You do not need to be recognized by the crowd to be held by the divine. Even here, in this city of strangers, you are walking in plain sight of the One who knows you completely.
The mask is heavy, but the light beneath it is lighter still.
