You Are Known In Your Silence
The morning demands a performance, and you have given it perfectly. You smiled at the right moments, nodded in the right places, and spoke just enough to seem present.
But now, in the quiet space between tasks, the terrifying silence arrives. You stop talking, and suddenly you are certain that your stillness makes you invisible to everyone you love.
As if you only exist when you are making noise. As if the light inside you requires your constant effort to stay lit.
But there is a presence that does not need your voice to know where you are. The true light gives light to everyone, not because of what they say, but because of what they are.
You are not seen for your performance. You are known in your silence.
The mask can come down, and you will not disappear.
