You Are the Light Behind the Eyes
The mirror shows a stranger tonight—someone worn down by the day, eyes heavy with things you haven't said out loud. It is easy to think the face looking back is the only truth, but the light has not been erased by the hours you spent trying to be someone else.
There was a moment in the gospel where a woman stood before the light and thought she was defined by her shame, yet the light saw only the one it loved before she ever washed her face. —That love is deeper than the reflection.
You are not the face in the glass; you are the light that shines behind the eyes, even when the room is dark.
