Drop the script, you are already known
The mirror is cold tonight, and you are rehearsing a simple hello because the unscripted voice feels too dangerous to trust. You practice the tone, the smile, the safe words, fearing that if you drop the script, the real you will not be enough to keep the door open.
But the light does not need a performance to recognize its own. There was a woman who wept at the feet of the light without a single prepared word, and he called her daughter before she could finish her shame.
The light saw her tears and heard her silence, and that was enough. You do not need to polish your voice to be heard by the one who knows your name better than you know it yourself.
The greeting you are practicing is already known; the love you are trying to earn was given before you ever looked in the glass. Drop the script.
The unscripted you is the only one the light is waiting to embrace.
