The Light Arrives Without Your Performance
The mirror is cold this morning, and you are rehearsing a word you have said a thousand times before. 'Hello.' You practice the curve of your mouth, the lift of your eyes, trying to find a version of yourself that won't shatter when the neighbor speaks.
It feels like building a mask out of glass—fragile, transparent, exhausting. But listen to the silence of the house.
The night has passed. The sun is rising not because you performed well yesterday, but because the light returns on its own schedule.
The Father's tender mercy is like a rising sun that shines on those living in the shadow of death, guiding feet that feel too heavy to move. You do not have to manufacture the light you need to face the day.
It is already arriving. It is already here.
The greeting you offer today does not have to be perfect to be received. It just has to be yours.
