The Light Does Not Need Your Performance
The mirror in the hallway knows the weight of the smile you are practicing. It sees the effort it takes to stitch together a face that says 'I am fine' when everything inside is unraveling.
You rehearse the greeting so no one suspects you were just falling apart. But the light does not need your performance.
It sees the cracks behind the eyes. There is a truth that lives in us and will be with us forever — a truth that does not demand you hold it together.
The mask is heavy. The light is not.
You do not have to carry the act into this hour. The dawn will come whether you are ready or not.
