The Light Moved With You
The middle of the day is long, and sometimes the road pulls you back to a place that is no longer yours. You found yourself driving past that old apartment at two in the morning, eyes searching the dark windows for a light you knew was extinguished.
It feels like a failure, this circling of a ghost. But the light you were chasing was never in that building.
It was the one walking the earth who said, 'I am the light of the world,' promising that whoever follows would never walk in darkness. You were not looking for a bulb in an empty room.
You were looking for the presence that lives inside you now. The memory is heavy, yes.
But the light has moved with you.
