The Unfailing Light Within Your Pain
The middle of the day can feel the longest when your body is a country you no longer recognize, and the silence of the room seems to echo only your own fatigue. You may feel alone in this, but there is a light that does not depend on strength or movement to shine within you.
It is the same light that Jesus wore as flesh, and it has been resting in you since before the first symptom appeared. — That light is not tired.
It is not sick. It is fully awake in the quietest parts of you.
It was there before the pain, and it will be there after the pain has passed. You do not have to generate it; you only have to remember that it is already there, holding you even when you cannot hold yourself.
The day may be long, but you are not alone in the middle of it. — The light is already in the room.
