Your Silence Is Not A Rejection
The mask you wear this morning feels heavy, doesn't it? You are silent not because you are cold, but because you are holding so much inside that there is no room for words.
You fear they think you have turned away, that your quiet is a wall. But listen — what you are hiding is not a rejection of them.
It is the sheer weight of being human. Jesus looked at a man who could not speak, who could only stand in his brokenness, and he said: 'Son, your sins are forgiven.' He saw the heart before the words ever formed.
He saw the faith of the friends who carried him when he had no strength left. Your silence is not empty space.
It is the place where the work is happening, even if you cannot feel it yet. The light does not need your performance to know you are present.
It knows the difference between a closed door and a weary heart. You do not have to explain yourself to be loved.
The mask can come down, even if just for a moment. And in that quiet, you will find that you are already known.
