You Are Not The Barrier
The mask you wear this morning feels heavier than usual, doesn't it? You smile at the coffee table while a quiet terror whispers that one day your child will see you were the only thing standing between them and the dark, and blame you for being too tired to be enough.
But look at the birds of the air — they do not sow or reap, yet they are fed, and you are worth far more than they. The light does not require your exhaustion to do its work.
It was there before you woke up, and it will remain when you finally put the mask down. You are not the barrier; you are simply the vessel.
The love that holds your child is not yours to generate; it is yours to receive.
