The Name Written Before You Were Parent
The mask is on. You are walking through the morning, smiling at the right moments, performing the version of yourself that everyone expects to see.
But underneath the performance, a quiet panic is rising. You try to summon the sound of your own childhood name, the one you carried before you were called 'Mom' or 'Dad,' and for a terrifying second, the sound is gone.
It feels like an erasure. Like the person you were has been overwritten by the person you are now.
But listen — the light does not forget who you were before the world gave you a new title. There is a name written on a white stone that no one else knows, a secret identity held safe in the silence of God.
You have not lost yourself; you have only buried the sound under the noise of caregiving. The light sees the child still living inside the parent, and it calls you by that original name even now.
You are not erased; you are simply waiting to hear yourself again.
