The Light Behind the Mask
The mask is on tight this morning, hiding the face that still burns over a sentence spoken three years ago. You are performing okayness while your stomach turns, replaying the moment on a loop that feels like it will never end.
But the light that lives inside you was there before the awkwardness, and it remains untouched by the shame you carry today. It does not flinch at your memory.
It sees the person behind the performance and calls you friend. You do not need to fix the past to be held in this present moment.
The light is not waiting for you to get it right; it is already shining through the crack in your composure. You are not defined by the stumble, but by the love that caught you then and holds you now.
