The Light Sees Behind Your Mask
The mask is heavy this morning. You put it on before your feet hit the floor—the smile that says you are fine, the voice that says you have it all together.
But underneath, the chest is tight. The world is moving too fast and you are just trying to keep the plates from shattering.
You feel like if you stop performing for one second, everything will collapse. But listen.
The light does not need your performance. It sees behind the mask.
It sees the exhaustion you are hiding and it does not turn away. Jesus saw the crowds—harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd—and his first response was not disappointment.
It was compassion. He sees you the same way right now.
Not as a failure for being overwhelmed, but as a beloved child who is carrying too much alone. You do not have to hold the world up today.
The light is already holding you. Take a breath.
The mask can slip. You are still loved.
