feeling unseen by the person who is supposed to see you
The mask is heavy this morning. It fits so perfectly that the one sitting across from you doesn't even know you're hiding.
They see the smile, the competence, the 'fine'—but they miss the silence underneath. It hurts to be unseen by the person who is supposed to know you best.
But there is a seeing that goes deeper than their eyes. The Father sees what is done in secret.
He knows the weight of the performance you carry. He sees the real you, the one behind the armor, and He is not fooled by the disguise.
You do not have to take the mask off to be known by Him. He already sees the face beneath it.
He sees you fully, even when no one else does.
