The Verdict Was Spoken Before You Failed
The mask is heavy this morning, isn't it? You put it on before you even opened your eyes, just so you could face the day without collapsing under the weight of what you did.
You pushed away the one person who finally tried to stay. You saw their hand reaching out, and you slapped it away—not because you wanted to, but because you were sure they would eventually leave anyway.
Now the house is quiet, and the silence feels like proof that you were right all along. But listen.
The light saw you before you ever made that mistake. It saw you sitting under the fig tree of your own making, hiding in the shadows of your shame, and it called you by name before you even knew you were lost.
You think your failure changed the verdict, but the verdict was spoken long before you ruined everything. Neither do I condemn you.
Go now. The mask can come off.
