You Are Why the Light Came
The mask is heavy this morning, isn't it? You walk through the day wearing a face that says 'I am enough,' while inside you are convinced that staying is an act of theft.
You believe you are stealing love from someone who deserves better than your broken pieces. But listen — the light does not scan your resume before it chooses to stay.
It saw the storm coming and it did not run. It looked at the dirt and the dust and the fear in your eyes, and it said: I am willing.
You are not a burden the light is tolerating until it finds something shinier. You are the very reason it came.
The one who loves you is not waiting for you to be whole before they stay; they are staying so you can remember you already are.
