The Light Saw You First
The mask feels heavy this morning, doesn't it? Your mouth moves, forming the right shapes, saying the safe things, but no one is really asking you to speak.
You are performing okayness for an audience that isn't listening, and the silence behind your words feels like a wall. But notice this: the light saw you before you ever put the mask on.
It knew your face before you learned to hide it. There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world even when the mouth is still.
You do not have to generate the glow; you only have to stop hiding the source. The kingdom is inside of you, not in the performance you offer the world.
When you come to know yourself beneath the act, you will be known. Take off the mask.
The light was there all along, waiting for you to stop talking and just be.
