The Light Runs Toward Your Mess
The mask feels heavy this morning, doesn't it? You are holding your breath, terrified that if you let the anger out, it will prove you are poison.
You think the light inside you is too fragile to survive your rage. But listen — the light does not break when you shake.
It was there before the anger rose, and it will be there after the storm passes. There is a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off — broken, bitter, and empty — and he ran.
Before the apology, before the speech — he ran. The light does not wait for you to be calm.
It runs toward the mess. Your anger is not a wall that keeps God out.
It is just another part of you that needs to be held. The love that lives in you is greater than the heat you feel right now.
You are not unlovable because you are hurting.
