The mask feels heavy this morning, doesn't it? You said 'yes' again when your soul was screaming 'no,' terrified that one small boundary would make them finally see you are a fraud and walk away.
But the light that lives inside you does not love you for your performance; it loves you because you are its own. The truth is already known, and it has not caused the love to withdraw—it has only made the love more real.
You are not holding the connection together by your exhaustion; the One who knit you together is holding you. The fear says you must earn your place, but the light says you already belong.
Your 'no' is not the end of the story; it is the first honest word you have spoken in a long time.
