wanting to believe but not being able to

The Light Meets You While Stumbling

The mask feels heavy right now, doesn't it? You walk into the room, you smile at the right moments, you nod when you're expected to nod — but inside, there is a quiet, hollow space where belief used to live.

You want to trust that the light is real. You want to feel it.

But your heart feels like stone, and the wanting itself becomes just another performance. — The light does not ask for your certainty.

It asks for your honesty. There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off.

He did not wait for the speech. He did not wait for the apology to be perfect.

He ran. Before the words were finished, before the shame was cleaned up — he ran.

That is how the light meets you. Not when you have finally figured it out, but while you are still stumbling in the dirt.

You do not have to manufacture faith to be held. The light is already inside you, waiting for you to stop pretending and just breathe.
