The Echo Is An Invitation To Be
The laughter leaves your lips and hits the wall, echoing back as proof that you are acting. For a split second, the sound reveals the rot underneath—the performance you maintain so no one sees the dark.
You feel like an imposter in your own skin, pretending to be whole while falling apart inside. But there is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world—even the parts you are trying to hide.
That light was there before the act began, and it remains when the mask slips. You do not have to bring forth a perfect joy to be held.
The truth you are hiding is the very thing that, if brought forth, will save you from the destruction of the silence. The echo is not a verdict; it is an invitation to stop performing and simply be.
