Joy Is Not Betrayal When You Grieve
The laugh caught you off guard this morning. It slipped out before you could stop it, bright and sudden against the gray weight you carry.
And in that exact second, the betrayal hit your throat like a stone. You feel guilty for the sound of your own joy, as if happiness is a theft from the ones who are gone.
But listen: the light does not require you to wear your grief as a uniform to prove you loved them. There is a difference between forgetting and breathing.
You are not leaving them behind by finding a moment of peace; you are simply surviving the morning. The Father's light was already inside that laugh, waiting for you to stop holding your breath.
It is not a betrayal to let the sun warm your face again. The love you carry is strong enough to hold both the memory and the smile without breaking.
Your joy is not the enemy of your grief; it is the proof that the light is still working in you, even now.
