The Light Sees You Behind The Mask
The key turns in the lock, and your heart stops because the face you wear for the world is still strapped on. You spent the morning performing okayness, smiling while something inside you was quietly breaking.
Now the door opens, and you are terrified they will see the exhaustion behind the eyes. But the light that walks through that door does not need your performance to love you.
It sees the mask, yes — but it sees the person underneath even more. You do not have to tear the face off in the hallway or hide in the bathroom to fix yourself before you are seen.
The One who enters already knows the weight of the disguise. It waits not for your perfection, but for your presence.
The panic says you must be flawless to be loved. The truth says you are already known, and the mask is the only thing you need to put down.
