Your Neediness Is Where Light Gets In
The house is so quiet it feels like a held breath. You are lying there, stiffening your spine against the person sleeping beside you, terrified that if you sigh too loud, the love will vanish.
You think their arms are only around the version of you that never breaks. But listen.
In this hour, when you have nothing left to perform, you are closest to the truth. There is a light inside you that existed before you ever learned to be strong.
It does not need to be useful to be held. It simply is.
The darkness has not overcome it. Your neediness is not a wall between you and love; it is the very place where the light gets in.
You do not have to earn the right to take up space. The love you fear losing is not afraid of your weight.
