Your Child Inherits Light Not Brokenness
The house is so quiet it feels like holding your breath. You are watching your child sleep, terrified that the cracks in your own soul are blueprints for theirs.
That the things you cannot fix in yourself will become the inheritance they cannot escape. In this deepest hour, the fear whispers that you are passing down a curse.
But listen. There is a light that lived in Jesus, and that same light is already breathing inside your child.
It was there before your first failure, and it will be there after your last regret. You cannot break what God has already placed within them.
The darkness you fear is not strong enough to extinguish a light that started burning before you were born. Your child does not inherit your brokenness; they inherit the light that survives it.
The sun is coming, whether you can see it yet or not.
