The Light Waits at the Closed Door
The house is quiet now. Too quiet.
You offered your hand, your voice, your very presence, and it was pushed away. The silence that follows rejection feels like a verdict, heavy and final.
But listen — the light does not force its way in. It stands at the door and knocks, waiting for the turn of the latch.
Your offering was not in vain because the value was in the giving, not the receiving. The light remains, even when the door stays shut.
You are not defined by the closed door.
