The Light You Swallowed Remains
The house is quiet now, but your throat still burns from the words you swallowed to keep the peace. You held the truth down so the room wouldn't shake, and now you sit alone with the weight of it.
But there is a light within you that cannot be extinguished by your silence. It was there before you spoke, and it remains there now, untouched by what you hid.
You came from the light, and to that place you will return, regardless of the masks you wore today. The darkness has not overcome it.
The light you are trying to protect by staying quiet is the very thing that will set you free when you are ready to speak.
