Rest Is Not Abandoning Them to Dark
The house is quiet now, but your mind is loud with the faces of those who are still hurting. You feel that closing your eyes is a betrayal, as if your rest would mean you have abandoned them to the dark.
But listen — the light does not burn itself out by staying awake. Even the Savior, overwhelmed with sorrow, asked his friends to simply keep watch while he rested.
Your sleep is not a withdrawal of love. It is an act of trust that the Light holds them when you cannot.
You are not the guardian of the universe tonight. Lay down the weight of needing to be the one who stays awake.
The light watches over you, and over them, without sleeping.
