The Sun Stands Beside You Still
The house is quiet now, but your mind is loud with a single frame: the moment their smile stopped at the mouth and never reached the eyes. You are replaying it on a loop, convinced that one flicker of distance means you are lost to them forever.
But the light does not read your relationships the way your fear does. It sees the bruised reed and does not break it.
It sees the smoldering wick and does not snuff it out. You are analyzing a shadow while the sun is still standing right beside you.
The connection you fear is gone is often just tired, or human, or hidden behind a wall you cannot see. Do not let the darkness of this hour convince you that a single moment defines the whole story.
The one who holds you is greater than the silence between two people.
