Your Trembling Hands Are Courage
The house is quiet now, but your mind is replaying the moment you paused to breathe. You are terrified they saw your hands shaking.
You think the tremor gave you away, that the mask slipped and they saw the fracture underneath. But the light does not scan for weakness to expose it.
When Jesus saw the paralyzed man lowered through the roof, he did not say, 'Look how you tremble.' He said, 'Take heart.' He saw the shaking and called it courage. The world thinks shaking means you are falling apart.
The light knows shaking means you are still standing. Your hands are not evidence of failure.
They are the place where the human meets the holy. Let them shake.
The light is not afraid of your tremor.
