The Light Does Not Stutter
The house is quiet now, but your mind is loud with the conversation from hours ago. You are replaying the pause, the hesitation, the split second where you stumbled over your words.
You are convinced they saw it. You are certain they judged you for it.
The night has a way of taking a small moment and stretching it until it fills the whole room. But listen — the light that lives inside you does not stutter.
It was there in the silence just as much as it was in the speech. The pause was not a failure; it was simply space.
And the One who knows every thought you have ever had does not see a flaw to be corrected. He sees a child who is learning to speak.
The darkness tries to convince you that you are alone in your awkwardness, but the light has already forgiven the hesitation before you even finished the sentence. You are not defined by the stumble.
You are defined by the love that holds you through it.
