The Light Runs Before You Speak
The house is quiet now, but your mind is loud with the replay. Every word you said feels like a mistake.
Every silence feels like a confession. You are convinced that in the dark, you accidentally revealed something unlovable.
Something broken. Something they will see tomorrow and turn away from.
But listen. The light that lives inside you was there before you spoke, and it is still there after the silence.
It was not stained by your awkwardness. It was not dimmed by your fear.
In the ancient stories, there is a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off. He did not wait for the speech.
He did not wait for the apology to be perfect. He ran.
Before the words could even form, he was already running. That is how the light sees you tonight.
Not analyzing your performance. Not keeping score of your stumbles.
Just running toward you. The thing you think you revealed is the very thing the light is running to cover.
You are not exposed. You are known.
And being known is the only safety there is.
