You Are the One Being Run Toward
The house is quiet now, but your mind is loud with a single moment from hours ago. That awkward pause.
That stumble. You are replaying it on a loop, convinced it was the proof that you do not belong here.
That you are too broken, too clumsy, too much. But listen — the light does not keep a ledger of your stumbles.
There is a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off. He did not wait for the speech.
He did not wait for the apology to be perfect. He ran.
Before the words could even form, he was already there. Your shame tells you that you must fix the pause before you can be loved.
The light tells you something different. It says the love was already there before the pause happened.
It says you are known entirely — every stutter, every silence, every fear — and you are still held. The darkness tries to convince you that you are an outsider looking in.
But the truth is simpler. You are the one being run toward.
